EmpowerU approach to measurement uses the Transtheoretical Change Model, based on the long-respected research of James O. Prochaska, Ph.D. and Carlo DiClemente, Ph.D. Throughout our programs, students advance from thinking about making goal changes to actively working on their goals each day. In fact, our three-year data study shows that the average Tier 2 EmpowerU student progresses through 1.8 stages of change — nearly twice the typical rate — in their own personal, emotional, social and academic goal areas.
